Do you ever want to throttle your kids?

Jackson and Dixon get their hair cut about every 5 weeks. Jackson's hair is really stiff and pokes pretty much straight up, so a good haircut is important for his appearance. I took them both in earlier to get their hair cut because they are going on vacation tomorrow with my Mom and Dad. They got in the tub and when Jackson got out he had shaved a small slice out of the front of his hair in the "bang" area...right at the front, very obvious...and another slice by the crown of his head. The problem is...

a. it is ugly now
b. he is 5 years old and shouldn't be cutting his own hair
c. this is the THIRD haircut in a row that he has done this

I think that there is a pattern, right? In fact, in the main picture of the blog with all the boys, he had cut his hair and she made it fuzzy so you couldn't tell. So, after our discussion of why he did this, he got an enormous spanking and bed to hopefully get the point across that this is NOT okay. I think that his hair is short and stiff when it's first cut and so he feels like it has a long spot. That is the explanation that he gave me last time. If I didn't think that he'd look like a poor, pathetic leukemia patient I'd show him and shave the whole thing off to the quick. Pray for me...and my children...and their hair!

okay lady!
You must go HERE:
http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=hard+up+gel&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=1098911981&ref=pd_sl_497ca5cgmi_e

Short Sexy Hair Hard Up Gel is a must for boys! It costs a little bit more than the stuff you buy at walmart BUT a little goes a long ways AND their hair will not move! It washes out well but you will never get to Church, look over and wonder what in the heck happened to your kids hair that you did 5 minutes earlier!

That being said...
I don't have any advice for the cutting situation! That would be aggravating...later it'll be funny though right???

I'll have to check out the gel. They hate gel...why they know they hate it, I don't know...but I sneak some in when I need their hair to stay cute. The hair cutting needs to STOP. He really did a number on it this time because he used a razor and the last few times he has used scissors. Oh, well. I'm over it now but I made him wear a hat on vacation so every picture doesn't have that bald hair patch!
