Don't You Just Love School Shopping

When I was little, my Mom and I used to go on "girls days." We still do. But, since I don't have any girls I have to go on some other kind of day! I usually just buy Dixon's school clothes, but since he is going into 2nd Grade I thought he might like a say in what he wears. So, Mom watched Jackson and Kasen, and Dixon and I took off to take on the mall. We had a great day and we were able to get a wardrobe that would probably clothe 5 kids in some under-developed country.

Dixon's purchased his own school supplies. He has been doing jobs around the house and with other money that he has saved, had $28 to spend...which sounds like an astronomical amount to spend on crayons. But he did it and had a little to spare. According to Dixon, when it comes to school supplies spare no expense. He got all of the newest developments in educational necessities...according to Crayola!

He needs 2 more pairs of Wranglers but other than that, he is done. School can come...(but, shhh, don't tell my Mom or Leslie...or any other teacher for that matter!)

Yah..don't let that out of the bag! I am seriously dreading school starting...but I hope once I am there it won't be so bad. I can't wait to take Aleah school shopping. We get to have that girls day and she is like my live Barbie doll! So much fun! Don't tell anyone...I can't wait to do the boy thing with Mason...cutest wranglers and boots!

Dixon has already picked out what he is going to wear on the first day...shorts. He wants to wear a short sleeved shirt with a hot waffle shirt underneath. He would lose 20 pounds! Kevin keeps telling him to give everyone the right first impression of him by wearing his Wranglers and new boots. He quite likes his shorts, though. Jackson would just as soon wear Wranglers and long sleeved shirts all year. Dixon is so excited to start school and I am ready, too. He and Jackson have been fighting non-stop for about a month. They get along better when they only see eachother in the evening! Now I know whay my Mom must have went through with Shane and I all summer!

Shaylyn thank the stars that you have boys when it comes to shopping..
Mazie and I are going to tackle the mall on Wednesday and Thursday. Mazie needs two days so that she won't feel rushed. She still doesn't understand that the money won't last through two days of shopping or my nerves.
I'm the mom who is always suggesting that she try on clothes that she would never be caught dead in..
I'll let you know how it turns out.. Wish us luck and very few arguements...
