Tagged. What the...!

Thanks a lot, Amber. I prefer to keep my weirdness to myself. I'm not sure how quirky I am or if I can even think of 6 but I will add what I have then add to the list as I think of it.

Okay, so when I am driving, I click my teeth before and after telephone poles and driveways. I'm not sure why I do it or how it got started and sometimes it gives me a headache. If I catch myself doing it I can force myself to stop. Maybe I need anti-anxiety meds. (see below!)

Next, I am a paranoid vehicle passenger...mostly with Kevin. I guess it stems from a time before we were married when he almost drove us off the rode. He didn't know the road was turning and if I hadn't grabbed the wheel...well, let's not think about that! So, if he even gets remotely close to the side of the road, tailgates, etc. I scream, grab his arm (which I realize is counter-productive), whatever. I always have my feet pressed to the floorboard of the truck. I am getting better but he would probably say the opposite.

Third, I am addicted to books. I love buying books. I love reading books. If I have books that I like, I read them a lot. I have upwards of 500 books in my personal library, Kevin has about 200, and the boys have about 300 or more. I read every night or I can not sleep...usually for 1 hour or more. I am very particular about the books that I will buy for and read to the boys. I do NOT read "goofy goes to summer camp or baby daffy is potty trained" or some such thing. I guess I am a literature snob. So, if you have any good recommendations, I am open to it!

Fourth, I LOVE pop. I guess that is part of my problem. I could drink a whole case in a day if I let myself. I do drink diet, if that is any consolation, and try to limit a can with lunch and dinner.

And, I am addicted to "The Office". I guess I have a very addictive personality. It's probably a good idea that I never started drinking or my typing would be slurred! When the season is over, I start with season one and go through to the end. I find myself saying, "That's what she said" and repeating lines from The Office at wierd times through out the day. My boys even have their favorite characters and lines. I can't wait for September!

Second to last, I am also an awful speller. Grandma LeFevre once told me about Grandpa LeFevre's spelling and I saw a letter that he wrote that confirmed his horrible spelling ability. I guess that is where we get it, Amber! Plus, the Nelson's are notorious bad spellers so I have a double whammy!

Finally, I am horrible at returning calls...especially if it's someone from church. But, I guess that's a conversation for another day!

Ummm, Uhhh, Welll....I could probably go on and on about my excentricities! But I won't.

I really don't know anyone else except Mom...tell us about how wierd you are! Anyone else, count this as your personal tag-itation! Get it...invitation, tagitation! Oh, well.

Vanessa, You're fine. Amber sent me a couple of blogs that do the searching for you for freebies and I have found a couple of pay sites that I really like. My 12x12 pages have turned out pretty cute. They get better the more I do! It is definately easier and faster than paper scrapbooking.

Here are my quirks:
1. I'm like Vanessa- I have to wash my face every night or I can't sleep. The other night Cooper came for a sleep over and we fell asleep on the floor watching the olympics. I kept waking up because my face felt like a sweaty grease pit but I kept trying to ignore it because I was so tired. Finally at 4:30 I went up stairs to wash my face and brush my teeth. I had a peaceful rest until 5 when the alarm rang.
2. I am afraid of Gatorade. I will never drink it because I don't want to taste electolites. It just sounds indecent.
3. I'm still afraid of dogs. My whole childhood was lived in relationship to where the dogs were and how I would get around them. After school each day I would stand outside and listen for barking anywhere in town and try to figure out a route home that would avoid dogs. Some days it took hours to walk the 6 or so blocks home. Night was the worst. I refused to go trick or treating one year because I heard barking in the distance. Now I refuse to visit teach anyone with a dog unless I can do it at the store or over the phone or if I meet the dog personally. I'm better with big dogs than little ones. ( I had a bad experiences with a Chihuahua and Pekingese in my past). Sick, huh
4. I don't love technology. I do what I have to to get along and not seem a total idiot, but I would never consider pushing a button just to see what it does. It might blow up the White House- which would be OK if I could be sure George were there (heh, heh).
5. I enjoy growing my nails out to a decent length just so I can have the pleasure of ripping them off. I never paint them- just grow and rip. sick, huh

"Eeewww, You're so sick!" Sound familiar?

That is what Jackson says about everything...like he really has room to talk about being "sick." That kid is as dirty and boy as they come.

I remember Mom making me go with her to a neighbors for something because they had a dog and she didn't know it personally.

Remember when dad (Grandpa LeFevre) got a car -back in the early eighties with a new fangled stereo system- = cassette tape- He didn't like it because it had too many buttons!
...Also- your spelling blog was really funny, I am a pretty good speller, but I take big liberties with punctuation!
...And what kind of books?

Keivn always makes fun of me because he says I read kid books. I like books that kids I would teach would read...I havn't turned down a Newbury that I didn't like. I am also a sucker for pioneer love dramas! My favorite is Janette Oke. I have liked her books ever since I was 12 or so. If I find books that I like, I read them over and over. My Little House On The Prairie set is about worn out. Mom read those to us one summer when I was about 4 and I have read them once a year ever since. I am currently reading the 3rd "Twilight" book. Last week I read "The Westing Game" and before that I read the "Prelude To Glory" series. So, I like all sorts of stuff. So, if anyone reads anything good, let me know.
