Don't you just love it when...

your kid dumps (whether on purpose or not) a jar of honey on your carpet? Let's just say that I definitely did NOT love it.

Who was the culprit and how did it happen?

That is to bad! How did you get it up?

Jackson, of course. I scooped as much up as I oculd and then scrubbed, and scrubbed, and scrubbed, and then used the carpet cleaner. Then, I put the lay-z-boy over the top so n one would step on it and I scrubbed it again today. It still mells faintly of honey and I'm sure if I don't get it all out it will be a dirt magnet. Oh, well. New carpet can't last forever...(note to self, remember to "enjoy the journey!")

Sticky situation....you poor girl. Were you searching for weird wedding themes while he was playing with the honey??!!?? J/K!

lol and usually it's the same one! My culprit is usually Slade. I bet that took a lot of scraping and scrubbing and cussing to get out!

have you tried the iron? It sounds weird but Jen used hers the other day to get food out of carpet and had success. She put a rag over the spot and used to iron over that so the carpet didn't melt...might be worth trying.

I was not searching for wierd wedding themes, oddly enough! There is a website called cakewrecks that is just hilarious. Anyway, that cake was on there and I had to link to a Lord of the Rings themed wedding. Anyone would have done the same! After seeing that, I am wishing that I could do it all again. Kevin could dress up like Bilbo Baggins!...or maybe Gandolf...and I could be the Liv Tyler character (Is she in that movie?!) Anyway, I think I got most of it out and I just scrubbed it a little more today, so here's hoping!

I could picture Kevin as Bilbo, to funny. Good luck in the sticky situation.

That would be awesome! I don't know if he's up for it, though. He's not much for dress-up. I think the last few Halloweens he went as a cowboy and maintenance man...big stretch, huh!
